Our Irrigation Installation Process
To ensure your Edmonton sod project is a long-term success, we follow a rigorous preparation protocol:
Zone Mapping
After approving the quote, you'll first notice a small flag or stake in your yard when our crew arrives. These flags or stakes are used as markers to map which zones your irrigation system will target once installed. Our crews will ensure your sprinklers are properly positioned for your garden and plants.
Trenching
Once our crews have marked where your sprinklers will be placed, we will begin to excavate where the water lines will run.
Installation
After digging trenches based on our markers, our crew will install the sprinklers and drip irrigation system, including the backflow preventer, valves, pumps, pipes, sprinkler heads, tubing, and timer.
Testing
We will test your new irrigation system to ensure all components work properly. Our crews may also adjust your sprinklers or spray distance to ensure your hydrozones are properly watered.
Burying
Once completed, our crews will backfill and level the trenches, leaving your yard neat and tidy. Expect a 4-8 week period for grass to regrow in the areas we’ve dug.
